Boutique Upcycling Store - Canterbury

Mayas Community Support Centre is very lucky to have so many donations which are new or of a very high quality. Therefore we can support a Boutique store, selling items are low / reasonable prices to help us fund our organisation. This store comes with an extra facility of up cycling, we also receive lots of items everyday which are suitable for modifications / repair and can easily be turned into something new. You can literally make something from nothing.
All proceeds from the Boutique Upcycling store go towards feeding those in need in our community. The up cycling element of the store is free to anyone with stations on each of the three levels of the store. If you are interested in either joining or volunteering to lead one of these sessions should contact Ionela at office@mayas.org.uk

After looking for the right location in Canterbury for quite some time Maya came across an old Bubble Tea shop on the historic corner of Black Friars Gate near the Marlowe Theatre. In true Maya Style she got the keys to the shop on Friday 2nd July completely refurbish and renovated all three floors and repainted the outside in 7 days opening at 12.00pm on the 11th July.
Maya and volunteers worked round the clock to get the store ready for opening putting love care and attention to detail to restore the shop to its former glory. The up cycling academy being free to all (who can make items in the store and either take them home or leave them to be sold in support of the food bank) will bring a new service to Canterbury.
